 Travel
down the winding Haulover Creek, enroute to Gales Point Manatee.
Enjoy mangrove forests and bird-life, maybe an elusive crocodile or
two. The Belize people call the Manatees water cows, as you go down
river you will have the opportunity to look out
for
them. Stop at "Bird Caye" to observe nesting birds, and others
points of interest along the way. A short hike through the
rainforest in Gales Point area takes you to a remote cave once
occupied by the Maya. After lunch, you are transferred by bus to the
Belize Zoo. Here you will see the many indigenous animals species of
Belize. |
